Movie: My name is fame

11 Sept 06 - This was not the movie I wanted to watch at the cinema today, since the initial attractionwas my 'My Super ex-girlfriend' ...

But I had 2nd thoughts when I reached the box office as I thought it was another crass comedy and since it's not easy to download Chinese movies, this was perhaps one I should not pass. And the thought of a has been actor mentoring a budding actress posed as the perfect tonic for a guy like me seeking inspiration & the right questions to reshuffle my life.

And happy to say, the movie delivered ... and it's not another of those feel good motivational mentor movies, but this had a huge dose of reality & the way he churned out the star in the female lead, had equal & positive vibes in himself too ... so much that he changed soon after the nestling flew the nest.

It simply explores the path one must take when you have sunk to a level beneath your sefl esteem & the journey to rediscover it. The irony?

You discover yourself & the laws of nature once again when you share & teach others. Such is the simple & heartfelt moral I took home with me. For that, I am already content & give this a 4 stars.
