2006 - Onwards to a fresh start ...
1st December 2005 - In 30 days time, I shall embark on a new year and it’s going to be another exciting year ahead. And start of a fresh challenge.
After 17 months of continuous breakthrough with Marcus Evans, I am standing at a cornerstone of envious progress and achievement, with a senior position and tons of invaluable experience. Truly times were great, but as they say, good times never last and at this moment, the other appropriate thought is that, always quit at the top.
After months of protracted discussions & negotiation, my former boss finally came back to me with a lucrative deal to rejoin my alma mater, Hewlett Packard for a role I always wanted, as a CSM. And best of all, he gave me a deal I cannot refuse and I know that in no way Marcus Evans can match this. This is something far more lucrative than what I have now or ever hope to receive at my current job.
While feeling excited about this prospect, some thoughts play in my mind …
1 – How will my boss take this news? She has just entrusted me with the rescuing of a crucial project and my current regional project is doing quite well now.
2 – I am going to miss life & people in Marcus Evans; especially the good friends & bonds created in my short time here. As my good friend, SV quoted, “We’ll miss one of our most notorious seniors” … I kind of liked that as I play the rogue role all the time in my life
3 – Moving back to
4 – Need to end my MBA program, and it’s quite a waste of the learning path I have started, but it’s not too bad as they’ll enroll me into INSEAD come April, so let me enjoy my few months of peace & settling in.
So tomorrow … I shall inform my boss that I am resigning … and we’ll see how things go from there.
2006 beckons & I do look forward.
