Student Assessment Centre

By reputation, some of us are scared because you are known to be direct and honest.

So, there goes an honest statement about me by juniors from UM AIESEC today as I was part of their panel to screen suitable students to participate in their exchange programme.

And it was interesting for me as it has been a while since I last helped out in these interview sessions, to throw them some tough questions & to see how they react ... it's a good way for me to gauge the best students and also to sharpen my questions.

This time I was armed with more power questions, which I practiced from my work and it came to some good effect, especially in 'provoking' them to show their true colours, related to sensitive thoughts.

All in all, the day was not too challenging with only 3 people to interview.

After that was lunch, so had a glimpse of the good old student days ... them talking about life, things to do in holidays, preparing for conferences, etc.

Of course, from here, I also found out about my notorious reputation, that they had hard copy of my previous mails criticizing the past leaders. Yes, I used to be very critical (still am) but nowadays don't really care about what the current people are doing, just let them be, let them do it heir way an if they want my opinion, i am not too hard to find ... but the thought of people keeping my comments 10 years down the road is hilarious ....

Tsk tsk ... memories still live on. In unexpected ways.
