Different, for a change ...

An interesting Friday

Fridays are usually interesting that it’s the gateway into the weekend … and things start rolling into place after 5pm, but yesterday was, one, that things started from 12pm and there were 3 cascading activities …

Teambuilding with the China team was the kick start, where we went for Karaoke at Red Box ala lunch and it was interesting to know that the rest of the team had quite good vocals … will definitely send them for Malaysian Idol auditions … and since they are quite direct, they might give the judges a taste of their own medicine.

It was good to be at the Korean party later … I have not send Crystal for a while, and her legendary cooking was good … so found out that she left Marcus Evans for Sydney, now working for Air France … but she did not disclose much details … ah women! So, it was good to enjoy Korean hospitality, they are always the happy-go-lucky people and fun to have around. Some music, wine, listening to jokes of smuggling wine into Malaysia, crazy cooks, nice drawings, and food quickly melted away the 90 minutes I was there. Time flies. Sigh.

Too bad I had to leave earlier for another party on the other side of town … for Mr. Jarod’s belated bash. As EXPECTED, the guy came in jeans with Prudential shirt (either that or AIESEC shirts) and with his driver Pooi Ling, who as usual got lost & late. Just typical.

But the meeting was a good one as finally I successful deflected the title of highest paid person in the gang (though mathematically I should be about the same) but what the heck; giving away unwanted attention is ALWAYS a good thing.

Just realized that the recent weeks’ been quite different … just not so hot-headed anymore, nothing very exciting … even exciting things don’t excite me. Just wonder if life’s gone stale? Or just that my expectations have gone haywire or skyrocketed?
